Trump Impeachment: Premature Celebrations

Reading an interesting point about Trump’s Impeachment which so far only been done by a vote in The House of Representatives which has a Democrat majority of 232 Democrats to 198 Republicans (1 independent & 4 seats vacant) During the House impeachment vote on Article 1 (Trump’s Abuse of Power)  230 voted Yes 197 voted NO, on Article 2 (Trump’s Obstruction of Congress) 229 voted Yes and 198 voted NO…. majority vote carries when done in the House of Representatives for Trump to be Impeached here but the next step is for The House to appoint a team of lawmakers known as Managers who will play the role of Prosecutors in the Senate trail to which the Senate would serve as the Jury.

Now the Senate has a slight Republican majority of 53 seats to 45 Democrat seats (2 seats Independent)   …and for Trump to be found guilty (then removed from Office) a conviction would require 2-thirds vote on one or more of the articles  

……and here is the interesting part, according to the 22^nd Amendment, if a US President has been impeached in the House (as Trump has been) but not convicted by the Senate (slim chance Trump will get convicted by the Senate if it goes this far) the that President’s first term is nullified and they (in this case Trump) would be eligible to run for Office (the Presidency) two more times!

So……with this is mind I think we can understand why Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives and a Democrat has not yet (as time of me writing this)  delivered the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate for them to issue a summons to Trump and progress onto the Trial.

The BBC News is reporting (yesterday 20^th) that “US President Donald Trump has demanded an immediate impeachment trial in the Senate, amid an impasse among Democrats and Republicans over when it may start” ....I can now understand why if he is to consider a 3rd term in the future.

In a series of tweets, the president accused the Democrats of not wanting to go to trial because their "case is so bad".....I can also understand why

This is certainly not a Pro or against Trump post I have published, the point of this post is to draw attention to the irony of the Lefties, many Democrats and Trump haters celebrating prematurely his “impeachment” yet not understanding the unlikelihood of a conviction by the Senate if it even goes that far and how if it does then old Donald will probably get off then be able to annoy them even more by being eligible to be President of the United States for 3 terms and not 2 which is the current (constitution enforced and which limited Leftie poster-boy Obama) limit!  Also consider the campaign fodder he will have against the Democrats wasting tax money (dollars) if (and probably when) this all flops either by progressing no further or found not guilty by the Senate.   

 

Footnote….Trump is accused of (Article 1) having withheld $400m (£307m) of military aid to Ukraine already allocated by Congress, and a White House meeting for Ukraine's new president, until Ukraine looked into potentially damaging material on Joe and Hunter Biden (Hunter worked for a Ukrainian company when Joe Biden was US vice-president) also (Article 2) of obstructing Congress by refusing to co-operate with the congressional inquiry.

Why I will be voting Conservative 2019

To feel that I need to provide an excuse like a naughty school boy caught with his hand in the sweetie jar* is enough of a worry in these recent times but here goes….(*American friends, replace “sweeties” for “cookies” and also consider much of what I write here about the Corbyn’s British Labour Party also stands the same as your Democratic Party or indeed most if not all Socialist Parties to varying degrees)

Firstly the 2019 December elections is a two horse race, let’s not pretend otherwise, it’s between The Conservative Party and the Labour Party (a variation of this up here is Scotland with the SN(fuckin’)Ps added to the mix but more about this later) …Liberal Democrats, The Brexit Party, Plaid Cymru (in Whales), The Greens (in Scotland also known as the environmental wing for the SNP) and a few other parties depending on your geographic area (and definition of what you would consider a “Political Party”)…these other Parties are basically just padding out the ballot paper when it comes to who will be stepping into power this election into Westminster and becoming our new Prime Minister. 

In the UK, especially up here is Scotland there is and has always been a hatred of The Conservative Party (The Tory Party) and Labour has been considered the working man’s party.   

To explain this hatred I will try and use the Scottish perspective, I remember this very much as a kid growing up in Falkirk and up to this day I still see this, when the Conservatives were is power with Margret Thatcher, who was then known as “The Iron Lady” as Prime Minister, she was demonised then and still to this day (when she died in 2013 people is Scotland were actually celebrating, street parties in Glasgow’s George Square, kinda ironic they claim she was an uncaring insensitive PM but there these same claimants blowing whistles and partying celebrating the death of a 87 years old woman who died of a stroke!!...not exactly the moral acts of a crowd who consider themselves fit to pass judgment of the morals of others. (they actually were wanting "the wicked witch is dead" song from the wizard of oz to reach number one in the pop charts)

There does seem to be 3 great hatreds in Scotland. The first is hatred of English people. The second is sectarian hatred. The third is hatred of Tories. (All three of these hatreds diminish all of us and the perpetrators of these “hates” should be ashamed of themselves)

Anyway….. Here in Scotland the majority of Scotland's economy was based on heavy industries such as shipbuilding and mining until the 1980s, these industries provided the life blood of many areas and were an integral part of the Scottish identity. 

The Conservatives under (then Tory PM) Margaret Thatcher oversaw the alleged destruction of this setup creating massive unemployment, resentment due to Scotland not benefiting from the new service based economy based on London and creating somewhat a crisis of national identity. 

Due to all this many Scots would never consider voting for the party they considered destroyed their communities with this hatred being passed down to the younger generations as well and of course lots of people believe the North Sea Oil drilled in Scotland was used to make people in London richer while Scotland received very little benefit. I certainly don’t agree with this “Nationalist Fairy-tale” but don’t intend to discuss this here as it would only be a detour from topic but if you want to go your own research may I suggest firstly checking the GERS reports and learning more about the Barrett Formula. 

So the mythology of Thatcher lives on and people continue to hate her.

It seems perfectly acceptable to hate Tories, especially up here in Scotland It’s so acceptable indeed that this hatred goes right to the top of Scottish politics. 

Just Listen to the way Nicola Sturgeon (Leader of the SNP) says the word “Tory”. It’s as if she couldn’t think of a worse insult to call someone. There is loathing in the way she says the word, there is contempt, it’s almost as if she spits out the word. This is all quite deliberate because she knows that her support depends on hatred of Tories. 

The SNP is now the anti-Tory party as she claims. She encourages this prejudice against Tories for party political ends. She fans the flames of hatred and keeps it going for she knows that then no-one will much think about her party’s actual record in government. Instead it’s about something else completely irrelevant citing a Tory past in Scotland which was not the best. 

Nicola Sturgeon’s argument against Labour is that they campaigned together with the Tories during the Scottish independence referendum. Her argument against the Lib Dems is that they were in a coalition with the Conservatives. Her argument against the Tories is that they exist.

 Now I certainly don’t agree with every policy of the present Conservative party, but I agree with the following principle: Virtue depends on freedom of choice. 

The Left would make us ‘virtuous’ by means of law, while the Right would allow us the freedom to follow our own conscience. 

The Left therefore fundamentally is about destroying morality by making it obsolete and turning it into a matter of coercion.  

The Left’s goal of equality can only be achieved by forcing some people to give up what they have and giving it to others. The Right on the other believes in the individual and makes morality a matter of my choice. 

I can after all give all I have to the poor without anyone compelling me to do so. That’s the difference. 

It’s that choice and that alone that makes an action virtuous.

As I wrote before on a Facebook post, Corbyn use that famous rallying cry of the socialist... “equality” ... which ignores the fact that humans are unique so inequality is inevitable. The socialist quest to “equality” is a wild goose chase, a revolt against reality, a recipe for destruction as history has already taught up with the examples of Russia and China. The essence of a socialist government’s enterprise is to turn us into identical bricks and it will use its coercive power to do this. This desire explains why socialist regimes are often totalitarian 

I disagree with socialism and nationalism. I’ve seen what these two ideologies can do, the poverty in a socialist Cuba …you don’t even need to look as far, just here at home (UK) in the 70’s was a bleak time under Labour, also the damage and division cause by the Scottish Independence campaign.  (check out my other post on what type of socialism I believe Corbyn will bring here....its the more autocratic type of Latin American then others)

John McDonnell, Shadow Chancellor in the Labour Party Socialist ideas are more on display than the little that Corbyn himself allows to be made public. McDonnell has said in the past that he would "confiscate shareholdings without compensation"....Now I work for BT and an a shareholder ....so if Labour Party won and Nationalised Broadband like as it said it would in its Manifesto I already know in this one area how it would effect me and others who work within the telecoms industry. He has also listed his interests as "fermenting the overthrow of Capitalism"!! He actually still carries his Little Red Book around with him!!!!

(anyway....Free Broadband?....why should the middle class get free broadband in a country with a million pensioners in fuel poverty? Such Ideologies override common sense ....but that's Labour for you and Socialism as a whole!!! I have not even mentioned about how these will try to get zero carbon emissions before the current governments target of 2050 which is a date the Committee on Climate Change believe is the very earliest possible date it can maybe be achieved without serious damage to the economy!!

If not before then are you starting to see the foolishness of Labour and the destruction it would undeniably achieve if it wins the election in December by beating the Conservatives?

When I write something I believe it to be true, but I know that my ideas will only evolve if they are countered but in social media I have been unfriended because of my posts or comments on other because they are cowards and it really boils down to the fact that they don’t have the evidence to disprove me or fear losing face in the attempt.

 That is the greatest danger of our political times here is the UK is that too many people are consumed with hatred for Tories that they are unwilling even to consider the possibility that Conservatives might actually have some good ideas sometimes. It’s this close-mindedness that is so harmful. It is the fertile ground in which prejudice can grow.

Conservatives traditionally are more supportive of a Capitalist based economy and history has always shown that this sort of economy does more to elevate people out of extreme poverty than any Socialist based economy.  

Many young votes were born after the fall of the Berlin Wall and find Socialism attractive.

Many will try and justified it with the myth of successful Scandinavian Socialism ….but it is a myth (socialism nearly wreaked Sweden and its only free market reforms that are bringing it back from the brink but watch how its socialist immigration policies are causing so much damage and danger to its population…and I could go on more about Danish Socialism …more than a quarter of the working age population out of work and on the dole)

Now there is also this bit of scaremongering Labour are spending about the Torys intending to sell off the NHS!... they have always said “the Tories always want to privatise the NHS”!!   but think about this a bit...why it hasn’t happened yet despite the Tories running the government for 44 of the 71 years since birth of NHS. Parts of the NHS have been opened up to a certain level of Privatisation over the terms of both Labour and Tory but its not to the extent of selling it off and sometimes little islands of Privatisation is not always a bad thing when it offers faster treatments and holds people accountable. But again I would need to detour off this post's main topic to fully explain this so I will stay on course and just point out that I believe this whole "sell off the NHS" is a scare tactic used by Labour and it's left wingers and should not be believed.

My views are sincerely held. They have developed over a number of years through discussion, thought, reading and traveling. I read Hitchens (both Christopher and Peter), Roger Scruton, David Horowitz and Douglas Murray which have furthered my convictions (also Daniel Hannan about BREXIT and its Eurocrats). 

But don't get me wrong, this is never black and white, politics come is shades, I am a huge fan of A.C Grayling.

By all means disagree with my views, but let’s debate amicably and accept that we are all sincere. The political identity of far too many people in the UK is founded on an unwarranted hatred (apparently more so, I would claim, in Scotland especially when it comes to any support toward the Tory party) It almost seems obligatory to hate the Tories in some parts of this country. In Scotland where it seems to be a Conservative voter you become a minority and this being the only minority in Scotland who can be hated with impunity.

As I said above, it’s a two horse race….Conservative or Labour, Yes Conservative often implement policies that add to the wealth of the rich but remember …the best paid 1 percent of the UK contribute 29 percent of all income tax collected at the moment and this money gets pumped back into public services. 

I have watched Jeremy Corbyn on the Andrew Neil show getting grilled and failing terribly, as I write this I have yet to see Boris Johnson getting interviewed on that show, I expect that to be a car crash too but I won't base my voting considerations on this, I choose to make a choice between the lessers of two evils. 

I don't intend to vote tactically for Labour in Scotland (hold the nose and vote the rose) to ensure SNP do not get another term in power up here (the UK uses first past the post voting system instead of proportional representation) as I fear strongly a SNP/Labour coalition or Labour conceding another Independence vote in Scotland which will add further divides....the threat of Corbyn's Labour is just too much for me to cast my mark in their box even who much I dislike the useless SNP. 

I know a lot will put on a face and say shit behind my back about my choice of political party (although I do think more people than before here in Scotland will be voting Tory but just choose to stay quiet about it )  but I don't think any could prove to me with facts that Labour (or SNP) is a better choice and facts should be the currency we deal with here!  

***UPDATE***

Today (29th) the Falkirk Labour Candidate Safia Ali has been removed due to antisemitic posts which she published on Facebook. Labour has a track history of antisemitism which I never touched upon with this post. In some areas with a more dense ethnic population in the UK they have even had (in the past at least) a separate seating area for woman to appease their Muslim electorate. This is totally unacceptable as is the Hijab which I consider a symbol of repression for women and was worn by the Falkirk Labour Candidate Safia Ali. How possibly can someone be taken seriously on topics relating to sexual rights when wearing the very symbol of misogynistic female repression!!!

BREXIT BUS PLEDGE (did it happen?)

With the December 2019 snap election coming up I am still undecided who to vote for……when I say undecided I really mean undecided between two parties…. which are Lib Dems (Austin Reid in Falkirk) or Conservative (Lynn Munroe)…. I just mention the parties names here as a lot of people so vocal in which party they will vote for don’t even know the names of the candidates they are voting for within their own area, something which I always thought very strange but it’s true that that we should not vote for personalities but you should vote of policies and pledges using the guiding light of facts and the map of experience to direct our way…..and this is why I am so certain that the SNP (Johnny McNally), Labour (Safia Ali) or the Greens (Tom McLaughlin) will certainly not get my vote!

I did consider tactical voting which would mean voting Labour in an attempt to get the SNP ousted from Scotland but I just can’t live with putting a cross in the box for Corbyn , who if he were a movie character in a Latin American country, wearing sunglasses, smoking a cigar and his speeches given spanish subtitles I would consider it believable for Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (Amazon Prime) to be sent to expose him  (so why oh why is all that he proposes acceptable in the boundaries of British Politics) 

And I am not talking about not voting for him due to his personality, which is questionable with the company this creature has kept in the past (HAMAS and the IRA to name but a few), I won’t vote for him because of this pledges in a manifesto which the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) do not see as feasible. Also the type of socialism he will try to place within the UK is the failed Latin American type (see my previous post on this blog)

So with my earlier statement “we should not vote for personalities but vote of policies and pledges using the guiding light of facts and the map of experience to direct our way” in mind it brings me to the subject of this post.

When I talk about the Tory (conservative) party and the (strong) chance I may vote (viewing they yet unpublished manifesto pending) for them peoples first comments is usually “aww no, I cannae vote for Boris, he is a Liar”  then, if I press them, will elaborate on this by pointing out The Bus Pledge, Boris Johnson was noisily banging the drum for it back in January 2016 when campaigning for BREXIT!!

Well firstly let me say I am surprised the naivety some people have that politicians don’t lie or how some act so surprised and outraged when one seems to have been caught out kinda contradicts the same people who say “all Politicians lie”

NEWSFLASH……All Politicians LIE ….especially on Campaign Trails!!!

But here I just want to analyse  Boris’s pledge which accusers consider his sinful lie. The extra £350 million that would get pumped into the NHS each week if we were to vote BREXIT (disclaimer, I voted Remain)

When Philip Hammond delivered his Budget in 2018 (Tory Government in power here and remember this is Boris’s party albeit led by Maybot)  he gave the NHS 3 per cent extra a year, which would mean that NHS spending would be £350 million a week more than it was before the electorate voted for BREXIT.

Did this mean the famous BREXIT bus pledge is to be honoured, to be considered as a down payment on funds the UK may expect to retain once leaving the EU? 

Vote Leave’s pledge to ‘stop sending £350 million a week to Brussels and spend it on our priorities like the NHS’ was one of the keys to its victory. 

Of course Philip Hammond would not admit such a thing as he was a Tory “remainer” and perhaps determined not to reward the promises that were made by the Brexit campaign as this would lubricate the way for a Brexiteer to succeed Theresa May as PM thus lessening his chances as a Tory candidate for the PM slot. 

But the fact remains (not using remains as a pun...why would that even enter my mind if it were not for us being in such current clims), that fact being that after the BREXIT vote, with LEAVE winning, the NHS got that extra £350 million a week extra.....was this just a coincidence?

So it really what Boris said a lie or a fact is a roundabout way?

Corbyista's Banana Republic of the UK

Not all Tyrants and Dictators live in hot countries, wear sunglasses and are addressed as Commandant!!

In Peru in the 70s after a military coup land, properties, businesses and fishing boats were confiscated without compensation, this was the rise of General Juan Velasco, the 58th President of Peru, Velasco threw Peru into a state of poverty and squalor from within!! Peru took agout 30 years to recover.  

Velasco's regime was watched by a young Venezuelan solider by the name of Hugo Chávez who went on to become the President of Venezuela and regarded Juan Velasco as his inspiration.

We now have the leader of the current opposition party (Labour) in the UK who sees Hugo Chávez as his inspiration!!

We (some) jokingly jest when discussing Corbyn…we mention Marxism, quote him and insert the word “Comrade” but actually Corbyn's ideologies are closer to the Chavista autocrats than to European socialists. This Corybn led Labour is not the same Labour beast of old, not the same as it was under Blair!  Corybn has already been cleaning up his force and surrounding himself with likeminded lieutenants. The Mathematical genius (laugh) Diane Abbott and John McDonnell to name but two.

Castro, Velasco, Chávez, Morales, he has only ever sided with them and never argued against their contempt for democracy. Latin America looms large in Corbyn's ideals having spent his formative years there, his 2^nd ex-wife was from Chile, his current wife is Mexican…he has much interest in the people and the politics of Latin America.  He would attempt to press failed socialist schemes here if he was given the chance!  Socialism always fails yet it is attempted again and again with the crazy persistence that there will be a better outcome….there never is!!!

 

We, in the UK take democratic stability for granted; just as we don’t expect assets we have worked hard to gain to be taken away from us.

We, for many years feel we are protected by the rule of law. We have had no experience of living under the dark could of true tyranny....oh yes, we use the Tory monster often, citing Thatcher...we complain about times under conservatism like a child how bangs his toe and acts as if he broke his back!!

 it’s understandable in a way as we are spoilt, we don’t really know what it’s like living under a repressive regime so we elevate our first world problems to a state of suffering ....but really, can we claim to know true suffering? Really? Truly?

 We have never felt forced to scale a 10 feet tall wall in the middle of the night under risk of being shot, neither have we considered building a raft to drift 100 miles across shark infested unpredictable straits or had to become an exile from the place we call home. We never ran up Princess Street in Edinburgh or around George Square in Glasgow through the mist of tear gas and a rain of batons....we think such things are very far from happening in the UK, we are accustomed to safety and stability on this small island.......but in one of our recent elections almost 2 in 5 people voted for someone who praised Venezuela as a socialist Utopia from with the UK could model itself upon!!

 

Corbyn and his Labour party are currently, as I write this, 17 points in the polls behind the Conservatives for the General Election which will be held in December to form a Government to lead this country (UK) That may seem like a massive lead the Conservatives have over him but not massive enough to still fears, how many times has polls been wrong? The Tory monster myth still echoes up and down this island and deals are often made with other lesser parties.  

 

Corybn has never tried to hide his enthusiasm for Chavez and his likes, only this week he posted on twitter a consolatory message to Bolivia's Evo Morales!! also a congratulatory message to Brazil's Lula after he was released from prison. His party is constantly being investigated for Anti-Semitism, he has admitted he regrets the outcome of the Cold war!!!

Corybn is open about how he wants to nationalise industries and regulate prices and incomes, also how he wants to get rid of billionaires in the UK, just this week he has pledged to provide free Broadband for everyone if her gets in power!!!.....he is laying out plans which we have seen done by autocratic dictators in South America yet this is all being considered in the normal bounds of British Politics!!!! how is this possible? IF Corbyn was a movie character in a Latin American country, wearing sunglasses, smoking a cigar and his speeches given Spanish subtitles we would think nothing of Amazon Prime sending Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan to expose him!!!!

 

In Britain we have always said that we do not do extreme politics ……but mark my words, we have never stood as close to the edge of the abyss as we are just now!!!  We need to understand this, the dangers of a Corbyn led Labour. If he comes in power we will soon learn the hard way!!

St George in retirement syndrome

Australia political philosopher Ken Minogue came up with a phrase “St George in retirement syndrome” in his book “The Liberal mind” he identified a certain type of person who wants to still “man the barricades” despite the face that the battles have already been fought and won!!  To paraphrase some of Douglas Murray in his latest book he say "they are still so keen on the revolutionary attitude that instead of enjoying the fruits of the legacy of the true heroes they’d rather be in an audition after the fact to be centre in the melee which is now not needed"

How they wish they matched with Martin Luther king onto Washington, how they wish they were in Stonewall inn, or protesting with the suffragettes, Scottish Nationalist wishing they fought with Robert the Bruce of the fields of Bannockburn (some even paint they faces blue and shout out "freedom" on marches as if they are still repressed by a King Edward of England (and take their motivation from a historically inaccurate movie from an Australia actor/director)

Despite there being no more dragons to slay (as least here in the UK) they start swiping their swords at lesser beasts then at thin air. Things have never been better here but still they screech and shout like harpies and it’s not for minorities to be treated equal, that battle has been won at least here, but they fight now for minorities to be treated greater!! 

We hear of woman only clubs whereas a similar club which advertises itself as “Men only” would soon be shouted out!!, LGBT(Q) marches where some are dressed in gimp outfits (PRIDE) but if a heterosexual person was to match down the street wearing an attire that should be only used in private behind closed doors they would be arrested!! Woman shout out sexual harassment in the office, which I agree is not acceptable but there should be degrees to this ... unless they agree certain make-up should not be worn in an office after all if it is to stimulate .... is it not true that the underlying fact is that red lipstick and rouge is to imitate sexual arousal. 

Books then movies based on such books which have rape fantasies are bestsellers and hits at the cinema, Christian Grey anyone? Woman discuss and read this in the workplace !! 

Equality should mean equality but the scales of balance are stating to dip down too much on one side and St George syndrome is becoming epidemic. The dragons are extinct here in the UK and the wee besties left are being ridiculed to death by normal logical people who thanks to the true stances in the past, will die out with their antiquated thoughts ... the battles have been fought and won, if you missed the boat then be thankful that you can still ride the wave and relax without the persecution others had to endure, don’t start attacking windmills like a senile Don Quixote, virtue signalling is a shameful sight.. the barricades and glass ceiling have been broken and any that could possibly be left will soon be destroyed by the momentum of past victories. 

I would like to post the following wee "Morality Tale" which I read by a "Sarah's Joking"

"St George the Dragon Slayer was relaxing at home. He’d earned it — he killed the dragon and saved the people. He was a hero now, i

mmortalized forever in the villagers’ songs and fire-place tales of his brave deeds and valour. His village had seen nothing but 

prosperity without fear — and it was all thanks to him. What a legacy!

St George turns on the fancy new “wireless” — a gift bestowed upon him by some grateful villager some years back — and takes 

his position in his favourite armchair. His feet up on his fancy new ottoman, carefully, not to spill his ale all over his armoured suit. 

He only just collected it from the town dry-cleaner, after-all. 

Staring out the window into a cobalt sky, he reclines his chair just a little more and sips from his cup. His gaze follows 

a lazy cloud forming in his peripheral. Totally at ease is he.

But something grips him.

A chill creeps over and climbs into his armour. He finds himself suddenly awash in a 

wave of cold sweat — Something was terribly wrong!

Launching himself from his easy-chair, St George throws himself at the 

window — could it really be? Are his eyes bewitching him?

A dragon!

There are lots of dragons outside! Lots of tiny, little dragons!

St George gasped — the villagers need his heroism once more!

Before stumbling frantically out the door, St George tears away his lance from the wall where it had been mounted years earlier.

 How he had longed to feel its power again, and he gripped it tightly in his hands before

 marching towards duty — he had lots of little dragons to slay!

St George returns home that night, exhausted but successful — all of the much, much smaller dragons were dead. 

All of them. And once again, it was all thanks to him. He resumed his place in his easy-chair, 

another luxurious gift bestowed upon him by the thankful villagers.

St George the Dragon Slayer was attending a dinner party put on by his friends in honour of his

 SECOND inspiring feat — the slaying of all the littler dragons. There were toasts and songs, 

speeches and art all dedicated to his bravery. St George was pleased and humbled by his friends.

But then he felt it again — the uneasy feeling he had felt only a few days before…dragons!

There are MORE dragons to slay!

Ya what? Asked Beowulf But you killed them all, Georgie — they’re all dead mate…

Do we actually pay attention to what celebs and sports people post on social media? Do we really believe politicians on the environment when they lie about everything else? Do you actually believe that the Amazon Rainforest is burning more this year than what it has done under socialist regimes?

Cristiano Ronaldo recently posted a picture on Instagram with his post about the Amazon rainforest fires.

Shame the photo he used was from March 2013 and a fire at the Taim Ecological Station, in Rio Grande do Sul state, southern Brazil.

A wee lesson in geography for Cristiano is that Rio Grande do Sul and the amazon  are over 2000 miles part but don’t let that put you off your false rhetoric
That would be like me posting about a fire in the Scottish highlands and attaching a photo of a fire in the south of France!!!
Please.... if you are going to hit us with apocalyptic rhetoric at least get some facts right!!!! Perhaps you should just stick to the football mate!!
But you are not alone in this ignorant false rhetoric as  Madonna, Macron and many others posted photos of the Amazon fires of the past and have tried to pass them off as the recent blazes, In Madonna’s case she posted a photo of fires 28 years ago from 1989. 

Now we also have peeps going on about how the Amazon provides 20 per cent of the worlds oxygen and saying that the amazon is the lungs of the world….

Now here is a biology lesson for any admittedly good intended eco-activists out there posting about the fires in the Amazon and saying “amazon rainforest...the lungs which produce 20 per cent of the oxygen in the air”

Firstly lungs don’t produce oxygen and secondary, like every ecosystem it consumes as much oxygen through respiration as it does produce through photosynthesis so not net contribution there but even on a gross basis it only produces 6 per cent 

Now I understand the “lungs” crap is a metaphor, a rather retarded one at that but it was coined by France President Macron, well at least re-minted but not only is it a load of crap as I mentioned above it also has sinister undertones as he, and others of that last vestige of the hegemony of white power wearing the mask of enlightenment which meets up every year calling itself it G7, they are trying  (now remember, Brazil is the ninth largest economy is the world but not part of the G7 which is not surprising as neither is China which is the second largest or India who are the seventh) and if the masses believe we are all going to suffocate from the lack of oxygen and the Amazon rain forest will soon turn into a barren mad-max type wilderness with its indigenous Indians huddles around flaming oil barrows for heat all because the current administration in Brazil does not give a damn then perhaps intervention is require from the Avengers…opps I mean the G7 nations. 

Leaders at the recent G7 summit under the lead of Macron offered Brazilian President Bolsonaro $22 million is aid but Bolsonaro smelt a rat and rejected this offer.

He was quite right to knock back this handout from the imperial G7. 

With such handouts comes a price, never be too naive to think otherwise... nothing in life is free and the G7 holiday club wanting to give money away is no exception.

This was proposed to be part of a long term strategy package from the G7 leaders to “protect the rain forest” but this was really a underhand attempt in getting a foot in the door for Brazil to cede sovereignty of the Amazon Rainforest to that frog-bastard Macron and co!!! There is an agenda for all this false news (helped along by no less than the BBC) about to the extent of the fires in the Amazon and many socialists lefties are being used as puppets by what they would consider capitalist regimes ....what fantastical hypocrisy and such an irony!!!

Now the real fact, which you can easily obtain if you try, is that this year’s whole rainforest is populist crap partly driven by politics and certainly by leftie socialists who need to stick the fear up people to try to justify they existence as a movement that still supports a failed experiment (communism failed, capitalism rock…get over it!!!)

Deforestation in The Amazon Rainforest is actually down 70 per cent since 2004.  

Around the world wild fires are on the decline according to NASA (now unless you are a flat earther you must admit NASA is pretty much solid)

Even the United Nations “state of the world’s forests” are showing deforestation is slowing down. 

In fact it’s the environmental friendly policies which are causing a lot of recent deforestation, for example 700’000 hectares of forest in South East Asia has been chopped to grow palm oil to add to supposedly green “bio-diesel” fuel just in Europe alone!! At let’s not forget that Britain is importing lots of timber from North America for Europe’s biggest Biomass fuelled power station situated in South Yorkshire!!

If you really want to start a eco-warrior crusade please be careful where you are getting the facts from otherwise you could just be another puppet being used by an oligarchy to stage a political coupe.  

Bolsonaro playing with matches or the Left at it again

I have managed to obtain a photo of Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro flying Rhaegal, the Dragon better known from his role in The Game of Thrones when he played a Dragon of the same name owned by Daenerys “Stormborn” Targaryen fighting  under the Targaryen banner.

 

As you may be aware, since the Game of Thrones ended Rhaegal has been struggling to find work and life has not been easy for the 2000 ton Dragon, especially after the death of his brother Viserion. Under the pressure of a Tory government threatening to cut his job seekers allowance and being his with a green tax due to his rather hefty Carbon Footprint Rhaegal decided to migrate to Brazil where he found employment working for right-wing President Jair Bolsonaro and assisting to incinerate the Amazon Rainforest using the skills he previously displayed by burning down Kings Landing and the leadership of the Targaryen queen.

 Do you believe this? If yes then I have some magic beans you may be interesting in buying, but if you are a logical person who bypasses the mass hysteria that plagues the social media and left-wing presses by doing your own fact-finding then why the fuck would you believe the bovine scatology that seems to be so fashionable these days?

Whilst it’s undeniable that the Amazon is on fire at this time of year as it has been every year around these months over the past couple of decades due to the dry season (and not burning any quicker than before) what I find strange is why so much publicity now!! And such false news as seen from the photos below in the attempt to pass off historic photos as current (check the dates of these photos)!!!

 

 Could this be anything to do with a new political party coming to power the end of last year and the opposition wanting to use the media to spread propaganda in the attempt to manipulate people’s ideas?

Last year about 7900 square kilometres were lost - an area slightly larger than that covered by Auckland Council. In 2004, nearly 28,000 square kilometres were lost - about the size of Southland

Now lets talk about this so called “Right-wing” President Jair Bolsonaro who’s victory last year is stoking fears around the world that ‘fascism’ is on the rise, fear which the left are very happy to stick kindling upon to ignite it further

Bolsonaro has been dubbed the ‘Trump of the Tropics’ and I do see similarities  as both men have a very macho persona and seem to open their cake holes without the foresight of thought, they appeal to an angry audience who are (rightly) sick of this progressive left snowflake mentality. Also just like Trump, Bolsonaro tends to says the first thing that comes into his head and it tends to be divisive especially his views on women, gay people, minorities....a lot which at this point I want to make clear I don’t agree upon, but we, especially us Gringos who are trying to understand things out with our own little boarders,  need to understand we can’t look  too closely at a comparison between Trump and Bolsonaro as Brazil is very different. Many Brazilians feel that only they can understand the peculiar afflictions of their home country and I agree, I would be far too presumptuous to assume to know more so I hope the Brazilian friends I have wont judge me too hard for attempting and if so then please let them consider this just a Gringo’s view of the situation.

 

A big contribution to Bolsonaro’s success is due to a middle class insurgency, they made their choice, and it has voted for military discipline over a corrupt left wing regime which has been in power for a while yet still could not address the gang violence which plagues Brazil (homicide level in some Brazilian cities is high enough to meet the UN’s criterion for low-intensity civil war) The left wing party of PT which was in power from 2003 to 2017 failed catastrophically to deal with this problem. Corruption is also a huge deciding factor in Bolsonaro betting Haddad of PT. During PT’s terms in office it oversaw the worst recession in Brazil’s history and the largest government corruption scandal in the history of any country, anywhere!!!!  Read about PT’s Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and his fall from grace, I find it remarkable the left can plead his innocence after all the facts that have been presented.  He was happy to call such people as Venezuela's Hugo Chávez and Cuba’s Fidel Castro his friends, even shaking hands with Muammar Gaddafi, these are strange bedfellows for anyone who expects to be an honest servant of the people.

I have wrote on this blog previously praising what Bolsonaro did with these Cuban Doctors in Brazil, I really find this truly progressive and a humanitarian act (read the post to see why) but I also do have issues with Beef, Bible, and Bullet reputation of Bolsonaro.  Beef being the corporate interests of ranchers and such which certainly will never be promising for a vast land of trees and this corporate interest also includes loggers and miners too.  Then the Bible part, this Evangelical Parliamentary Front he has voicing his hostility to homosexuality and abortions, this is a dangerous way of thinking, at least America has constitutions to protect over this, perhaps Brazil has too, this is where my ignorance may arise but still…religion has no place in politics. Then finally the Bullet part, nostalgic sentiment for the Brazilian dictatorship of old is never a good thing although there are some positives in this perhaps with the way to deal with the criminals, recently, even here in Scotland we saw how the BOPE sniper took out (shot, not went on a dinner date) the guy in Rio who highjacked  the bus, we heard the usual wails from the left about how the gun the criminal had was not real but the threat was certainly real as was the fear of the innocents on the bus!!   Our very own SAS once were called out by the left for doing a couple of double taps to 3 unarmed IRA members in Gibraltar in 1988  (Operation Flavius) …if there is a risk to innocents then the initiative should be taken to protect is innocents, not to give the criminals the benefit of the doubt. But yes, all this Bancadas do Boi, da Biblia e da Bala does give the left ammunition is the social media stakes and we all know that a Meme speaks a thousand words especially to the lazy who don’t have the patience to collate the facts so there is always a spectra of a fear that PT may come back into power again and any progress made by Bolsonaro will have been in vain.

But anywhoo ….. by all means ….protest the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest but please don’t make it a political attack on just Bolsonaro as these idiots who recently threw red paint and glued their hands to the doors of the Brazilian embassy in London did. Where were these fuds the previous years when PT were in power and the fires were burning there. Or Belo Monte (google that one like I had to) was given the go-ahead and the effect that had on the indigenous peoples when PT was on Mount Olympus being the over watchers of the amazon !!!

 

Greta Thunberg, Hypocrites and Puppeteers

Has everyone been hearing about the wee  Swedish “Eco mimi-messiah” 16 year old Greta Thunberg….you can’t miss her with her wee bonnie pig tails like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and her intense stary eyes due to her unfortunate conditions of being on the Autistic Spectrum and having Aspergers syndrome.

As I said before on Fcebook…..she should have just caught a flight then planted a tree to offset her carbon footprints!!!   No way can I blame the child who has good intentions but there is something sinister about all this and manipulation is certainly at play here.

Just read she is also a Vegan ...dont know if that's great idea  for a girl who at age 12 refused to eat for 2 months and lost 10 kilos on a already slender frame to be choosey about what she eats at such a young age with the issues she sadly has but PETA think its great….but hey, I am a cynic of this whole eco movement thing.....yet better being a cynic than naive but experience beats both and unfortunatey Greta does not have experience but the people who are leading her should!!

But hey....its genius using a vulnerable child who voice your message by proxy to the world's media ...who is going put her on the spot by asking her any difficult questions? The poor kid would have a meltdown....this would be the swan song of any interviewers career!!   I just find the whole thing distastful and I will be disgusted if we does win a Noble peace prise because of this....you would have to give Chu Guevara one too if this is the case as he was a poster boy for the left too despite his actual actions.

This wee lassie Greta Thunberg deserves better than being used as a puppet but hypocritical cowards.

She is the climate cult’s human shield because of her autism and Aspergers people are reluctant to question or criticism the message she delvers!!! 

‘you can’t pick on a disabled kid’ but it looks like you can take her out of the school classes designed for her special needs and apply pressure to her in the public arena …Children should not be used to further peoples political aim . Children are a responsibility to be cared for by adults which they trust and not used is such a way.

I am not criticising wee Greta at all, she is an innocent here but the narcissistic adults who are using her as an avatar for their own desires, these are virtue signaling hypocrites and this charade is boarding on child abuse!!!!!

The Rise of The Documentary

Watching that Netflicks documentary “The Great Hack” but getting a bit tired of all this liberal hand-wringing sore loser crap.  “A investigator report from The Guardian newspaper” ... lol 

Fakes news is here to stay, it will never be fully regulated, yes data-mining is ominous and disturbing but read the terms and conditions of social media apps before using and above all please try to educate yourself!! 

Let me save you the time ....here it is in a nutshell, the message in full...**spoiler alert**....."This is why Donald Trump won, so they should be a law against it" (change "Donald Trump" for "BREXIT" or "Scottish Indy No" or any other campaign which you are not happy with the results of)  

Books, lectures and balanced debates , these are always a good start.   Yes, it’s comforting to live in a silo, an echo chamber of like minded people who reenforce your convictions by repeating the same ideas and sound bites you use but it’s not a healthy environment to be in.

if you dislike another persons views you simply “unfriend” them!!  is the equivalent of closing your eyes, sticking your fingers in your ears and humming lalalala to yourself .... yes, everyone wants to think they are right and it there is an uncomforted annoyance like a pain to accept you are wrong but that’s how personal growth happens ....otherwise you are just a snowflake and continue to seek that comfort blanket of the same uniformed options at you!!! 

Trump won the election, the democratic majority voted for BREXIT and Scotland spoke up and voted to stay in the UK... get over it!!! I voted remain on the BREXIT vote, my side lost but I recognise that’s democracy... for all it’s flaws that’s the way it works, I may have voiced my opinions about my thoughts on BREXIT voters, even on past posts but this was partially sour grapes. I was not happy and neither were the other 16 million of us but 17 million are getting what they voted for  (well let’s see because it seems like the hyper liberal  elite may not follow democracy and are acting with a totalitarian fury against it) 

As for the Republicans using Cambridge Analytica, the British consulting company the feed the Trump (and BREXIT) propaganda machine with our mined data....get over it snowflakes, the Democrats came up with the idea first and used it for a Clinton victory you would be over the moon .....oh but the Democrats are above that, they would never obtain data of the american electorate to use it for such underhand purposes.....well that shows you what you don't know about the proposed OBAMA CARE and why ultimately it was deemed as unconstitutional.

Remember the documentaries of Michael Moore?They are not appealing to the public anymore as his willingness to bend the truth to suit his audience eventually became so apparent that it was embarrassing.

So now there is a rush to fill the vacuum for "see how my liberal ideas can be (kinda for now) vindicated by a nice shinny paint over the cracks production" documentaries on suspected wrong doings and conspiracies.  But these still dont replace the need for a proper education on the matter...but who has time to read a book for 16 hours or much more when a simple paint by (assumed) numbers documentaries can give you what you want to know in a fraction of that time.

I do enjoy documentaries, especially travel, science and nature but I not presume to have traipsed through the the Amazon rain forrest looking fro a tree frog because I saw David Attenborough do it or think I understand the moons of Saturn because I watch Brian Cox, I can be in awe and know much more than I did at the start with such documentaries but if they may have a hidden political message then things start to become more dangerous. 

9/11 conspiracies, PETA, The Unconvienient Truth, Michael Moore, Cowspiricy...etc etc...and now The Great Hack....be careful people.

Would you become a food critique by eating instant noodles? Invest a little more time in books, by all means documentaries can be great compliments to obtained knowledge but never rely upon on source and the internet and documentaries can be very dangerously misleading.

As I often make a caveat of saying before I post a statement which goes against the general consensus of social media memes I will start with saying “I am not a big fan of Boris Johnson but...” he has appointed a cabinet which has more ethnic “minority” members than any other in history(Priti Patel and Sajid Jarvid being such pro-Israel supporters may certainly get up some anti-Semitic noses)  and BoJo himself is of Turkish Muslim decent ... 

oh, and a quarter of the cabinet are made up from woman so that box is crossed too.... and he is focused on delivering what was the result of a democratic vote (I voted remain but I still recognise democracy means what the majority voted for) he also was a decent London Mayor by all accounts (much better than it current idiot) he even implemented eco- friendly policies such as the bicycle scheme there. And Scotland is certainly getting plenty of extra funding from him despite the tartan tambourines being beaten encouraged by the economically retarded protest party of perennial grievance of anything south of its pea sized anglophobic brain.  

Oh, he lied about the money the NHS would get once we left the EU.. a politician lying whilst on the campaign trail ....that’s such a novelty!!! Don’t be so naive!!! 

So before you snowflakes start self-flagellating too much online and exhausting your Boris Memes all at once let’s give blonde a wee bit more time, let’s see what will happen over the next 100 days.
