Ice Cream

Everyone enjoys ice cream and I am certainly no exception. I also enjoy inviting friends for their dinner at my house, although I prepare the starters and main course from scratch I usually had to buy the desert which was normally Ice Cream but no longer, for the last couple of months I have been making my own Ice Cream and of a very high standard if I say so myself.
I have been using the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker which has its own compressor so I don’t need to pre-freeze any bowls.
Each batch I do is around 1.5 litre/3pints, I have experimented with many different flavours such as Madagascar Vanilla, Peanut butter, Chocomocha, Strawberry, Turkish Delight, Maple and Walnut, Lychee made with coconut milk (for my son Sam) and Coriander and Lemon which was surprising lovely and very refreshing.
I also made some Vanilla ice cream at my work to sell during Children in Need day which went down well (and thanks to everyone who bought one)
All the ingredients I use are natural (…well except for the Turkish Delight which I bought from M&S and chopped up and added Rose Water) My freezer is always well stocked with Ice Cream now and will never buy from the shops again.
